Chapter Two

Everyone in UrbanDee High School anxiously waited for lunch everyday. That was the time where the whole school stopped and took a break and could get with their friends and gossip, chat, joke around, trade homework assignments, and get answers to the tests and quizzes of the day. Felix sat with Erin and Brittany.
“Where’s your boyfriend”, Felix half scoffed.
“He says the food isn’t good enough here so he went with some of his friends and snuck off campus to pick up something”, Brittany picked up an apple off Erin’s tray and took a bite out of it. The ripe juices of the apple flowed down her chin as she smiled then dabbed at her face with a napkin.
“I hope he doesn’t get in trouble”, Erin said half heartedly.
“Oh I hope he does! Nothing turns me on more than a bad boy!”
“We know”, Erin and Felix said in unison, both rolling their eyes.

Brody sighed heavily as he watched Felix and his friends chat and eat from a lonely corner table that had his name written all over it. Usually during lunch he uses a spoon or a fork and carves his name deep into the table. He started day dreaming about Felix, remembering that last week he was just drifting around town and found Felix out front washing his pretty little car in nothing but shorts. The image made him shiver.
“You should stop staring at him. People already think you’re kind of creepy”, Shy, Brody’s little sister, surprised him.
He turned to look at her, and like always she had a book held up to her face, hiding it. Sometimes he felt like she did that so people wouldn’t know that she’s his sister or that she knows him at all. Brody reached over the table and pushed the book down to look at his lovely sister’s face. Her eyes were still glued to the pages and her perfect eyebrows pushed together in a slightly frustrated look. She really didn’t know how beautiful she was. Typical girl, though sometimes it’s better to be modest than vain in most guy’s opinion.
Brody sighed and let her go back to reading.
“Why don’t you just go over and introduce yourself and talk to him?”
“I can’t do that Bells, he’s Felix. I can’t describe it, I just can’t do that!”
She closed her book and looked at him, being called by her pet name meant her brother was having some form of crisis or he was teasing her or trying to cheer her up. It was easy to see which reason he called her that.
“Maybe you shouldn’t be so shy…”
“Ha! This coming from you, I don’t want to creep him our or anything. I just need to come up with a way to have some kind of small talk with him”, Brody mumbled.
“If you say so”, Shy shrugged and went back to reading, letting her brother day dream.

The bell rang and everyone scrambled off at their own pace back to class. Posses of friends marched down the halls, making it hard for smaller groups of people or people by themselves to get by. Friends and couples walked one another to their classes.
Felix felt like a pimp as he walked with Erin and Brittany on either side of him. The girls walked Felix to his class then waved at him as he went into his math class.

“Brittany we need to have a girl to girl talk”, Erin said quietly after pulling Brittany into the girl’s bathroom.
“Alright what’s up?”
“Have you and Bryn been doing it”, Erin asked bluntly.
Brittany blushed slightly and let out a girly giggle, “Yeah…I’m pregnant too. I haven’t told Bryn yet, trying to find the right time.”
Erin gawked at her as if she just told her she planted a bomb in the school and it went off in 5 minutes, “Are you serious?! Oh my god Brittany! This is serious, does Damien even know?”
Brittany shook her head.
“Oh god, well…we’ll talk about this later”, Erin said in a rushed tone and pushily escorted Brittany out the bathroom.
2 girls walked out the bathroom stalls and made ‘Oh my god’ faces at one another then giggled, ready to spread the gossip.

“You better get a move on or you’ll be late”, Shy closed her book and stood.
Brody shook his head and noticed the cafeteria emptying out then looked down and blushed. He had been thinking about Felix too hard. Now he had a hard on running down the thigh of his jeans. He frantically tried to think of things to make it go away, though his attempts were in vain.
“S-shy….Bells…Can I barrow your book? I’ll give it back to you after school I promise I need it though”, he begged pathetically.
“Why”, she asked hugging her book to her chest, protective of it.
“Just help me out”, his voice strained in desperation.
Sighing Shy gave up her book to her big brother. She was really too nice for her own good. But she cared about her dear brother and didn’t like to see him beg or in a desperate situation.
Brody mouthed a word of thanks as he grabbed the book and used it as a shield and tried to be casual about it as he hurried out of the cafeteria. Though it was a grueling pace given how crowded the door ways were. He had never been so happy as to get back to class as he slid into his desk and placed the book on his lap, still self conscious and feeling stupid for letting himself get so caught up like that.

The seniors got to leave class early because of graduation rehearsals. The teachers who only had seniors in their classes for the last classes of the day fussed over them as they tried to get into alphabetical order and do the run through of everyone going up on stage and do all the usual procedures. Damien and Felix were 3 people apart in the line. By now Damien had taken up notice though he was unsure if Felix had noticed him or not.
Trying to be casual he just looked around the room before he looked at Felix, trying to catch his eye. Damien thought Felix had beautiful eyes; it wasn’t just his blue eye that was beautiful. His brown eye shined an exotic orange the majority of the time. When it didn’t appear orange it looked almost black. Damien let out a dreamy sigh and inched up a bit in the line. Damien blushed and looked away and smiled to himself in almost a victorious way when Felix caught his eye.
Felix’s heart leaped out and slammed into his rib cage when he turned his head just in time to catch Damien’s eye. He wondered if the boy of is affection was looking at him or the girl in front of him or maybe the guy behind him. He didn’t know. Felix really did hope he had been looking at him.
Though neither one of them were brave enough to talk to the other or start up a conversation just yet. So the graduation rehearsal proceeded and finished, everyone was just happy that they wouldn’t have to go to school tomorrow unlike the lower classmen that still have to show up for the last month of school.
Felix was almost brave enough to walk up to talk to Damien but he chickened out and just brushed past him, shoulder contact made them both freak out in their own minds. Felix hustled off to the boy’s bathroom rather quickly as Damien stared after him holding his shoulder and just kind of grinned to himself. Felix nearly squealed in victory as he burst into the bathroom. Though he couldn’t quite do that, he would look like a freak in front of the guy who was standing there washing his hands.

Brody had been standing in line during rehearsals 6 people in front of Felix. He had been scoping him out trying to be casual as he admired him from a distance and tried to keep himself in check and in control. He nearly jumped a foot in the air as he quickly turned around when Felix’s eyes swept over in his direction. In Brody’s mind he was hoping Felix had caught him looking at him and would flash him a smile but also he was praying that Felix hadn’t noticed his staring.
After rehearsals Brody scurried off to the bathroom, knowing by the time he got home Shy would have be done locked herself away in the tiny bathroom they shared taking a bubble bath and reading, trapped in her books.
Then he walked in. Burst in would better describe it, but Brody’s mind slowed down and it looked like he just glided into the bathroom. His bronze face had a deep blush set on his cheeks and a giddy look played on his pink lips. Brody felt his mouth water in delight as he watched Felix saunter over to the sink beside him and turn the water on. The water gushed out in a few violent spurts before it became a steady flow.

Felix splashed cold water on his hot face to cool it down. He felt like his temperature raised several degrees because of Damien, almost as if he was having a fever. The 17 year old turned the water off and shook his hands off in the sink, flicking water droplets everywhere then grabbed one of the cheap brown paper towels to dry his hands off then smiled at the boy who was practically staring at him.
“You’re a senior too”, he asked.
“Y-y-yeah”, the other boy nearly stuttered.
“I’m Felix”, he politely introduced himself, flashing him another smile trying to get him to stop staring at him.
“I’m Brody”, he managed to get out. Brody was mind boggled by Felix, he kept smiling at him. A very arousing award winning smile, his teeth here a blazing white, Brody wondered what kind of tooth paste he used and what his mouth would taste like and how his breath would smell if they were face to face or kissing. All these thoughts were almost making him dizzy. His knees trembled slightly in response.
“Nice to meet you Brody, I’ve kind of seen you around before. How come you’re usually by yourself?”
He had seen him around! Brody was about to have a victorious conniption and do a celebratory dance but he couldn’t lose cool points with Felix. Not now, it was a crucial moment. Brody tried to think fast to answer the boy with the different colored eyes question without seeming unfriendly or like he was some kind of loser no one wanted to hang out with.
“I’m…I’m just a quiet person is all and people kind of think that since I’m quiet and just kind of stand around and stare they think I’m some kind of creepy person I think?”, Brody tried to figure out, sounding like he was trying to convince himself.
“Alright”, Felix said nodding, “Well listen I’m throwing a party for all of us that’s graduating at my Dad’s house. I’d love for you to show up. The more the people show up the more we’ll laugh about our crazy High School times in college right?”
Brody nearly fainted when Felix flashed him another smile, on top of that invited him to his party. He also loved for him to come! Brody took that more than one way and planned to use this scene later tonight when he couldn’t sleep. He watched quietly, his mouth hanging open, as Felix wrote his number down and his Dad’s address and handed it to him then gave him a pat on the shoulder and strolled out the bathroom.
The dark dye head boy just stood in the bathroom and stared at Felix’s number before his lips pulled into a stupid grin, the kind you get when you’re retarded with pleasure. His crush had invited him to a party! He definitely was going to go, he would have to get Shy’s help on planning some things out.

Damien felt a slight stir in his pants when he heard Felix talking to Damien’s friend Jordan as he approached the two boys. Felix was inviting Jordan and him to his party! Damien’s mind rushed as he tried to piece this together. Did Felix think him and Jordan were a couple? Oh no! That’s not what he wanted at all. But he wasn’t about to straighten it out now. Felix waved by to Jordan, smiling his famous smile as he went off to mingle with a group of girls, probably to tell them about his party as well.
“What’d he say”, Damien almost demanded as him and Jordan began to drift out the auditorium, Damien glancing back at Felix as they go.
“Just invited us to his party at his dad’s place, I heard his dad’s place is huge! I’m pretty sure everyone is coming, and that he’s even inviting some of the seniors from other schools. What’s with you? Someone stalking you”, Jordan turned his head and tried to look and see what or who Damien kept glancing at.
“Nothing, nothing, are you going to go?”
“Defiantly, can’t pass up something like this. Last party of the year before the summer parties start up. How about you”, Jordan mind wandered off for a bit.
“I have to go! It’s Felix for fucks sakes!”
“Oh god”, Jordan rolled his eyes; “Here we go again!”
“Jordan! Come on you know how I feel…”, Damien got out before Jordan cut him off by placing a finger over his lips to silence him then put his arm around his friend’s neck as the walked.
“I know, I know. I’ve know since you first discovered you were gay. The whole school must know by the way you make sheep’s eyes at him”, Jordan teased as he made his eyes wide and batted his eyelashes and then cracked a grin.
“Oh shut up”, Damien whined as he shoved Jordan away a little.
Jordan laughed, “You’ll be fine. Just get your sister to help you out. I mean I can only help you out with so much! Felix isn’t a girly guy so I can’t try and compare him to my knowledge of girls. So go find one of your female friends, get me a date with someone hot so I can just lay back and let the good times roll without the hassle, and ask the other female friends for advice before the party, simple as that!”
Damien nodded in agreement. One of his friends would be able to help him. He really did hope someone would be able to help him so he doesn’t make a fool of himself.
